2024 YZ65 Cup - AUSX Championship Rounds

Yamaha Motor Australia is pleased to announce the YZ65 Cup will be returning in November 2024 to run in conjunction with the highest profile SX races in Australia. The first event will be held at Wollongong’s AUSX at WIN Stadium on 2 November. The second event will be held at the AUSX Open at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on 30 November.

YZ65 Cup is more than a race series, it’s a celebration of motocross designed to offer participants and their families a unique experience. With unparalleled access to YMA’s professional MX race teams, each YZ65 Cup participant is rewarded with memories that will last a lifetime. The ethos of Yamaha’s YZ65 Cup is to make every rider and his or her family feel like they are part of the Yamaha factory race team, courtesy of the unique bLU cRU experience.

The YZ65 Cup offers an opportunity for 9 to 12-year-olds to feel what it’s like to be a factory rider for the day. Yamaha is excited to offer the YZ65 Cup opportunity at the Australian Supercross Championship this year. “Yamaha has been providing this unique experience since 2018 and we enjoy charting rider progress in the sport as they progress through the ranks,” says Yamaha Customer Activation Co-ordinator Jake Belford.

Whether they finish first or last, our aim is for riders to enjoy Kando moments with memories that last a lifetime. And by exposing riders to the wider Yamaha family at the racetrack we aim to pave the way to keeping YZ65 customers in the bLU cRU. We encourage all YZ65 owners to apply before 1 September 2024. Yamaha will then vet the applications and advise the successful applicants. Note the grid is limited to 22 riders at each event.

Yamaha values the safety of all riders and aims to make the YZ65 Cup a fun and rewarding experience. Prior to submitting an entry, parents are asked to assess their child's riding skills to determine if they will be comfortable riding in a competitive environment on a supercross track. Accordingly, all riders must have a current MA licence and are asked to submit a riding/racing resumé.

Yamaha is committed to supporting grassroots dirt bike riding and will ensure the YZ65 Cup receives extensive media coverage, so why not help your young guns get on the grid by registering interest below - spots are limited.

Expressions of interest are now open and must be submitted before 1 September 2024. All successful applicants will be notified via email or telephone before the end of September 2024.
